Hey, guys.
I've got a little bit of bad news that I'm sure you're all aware of. The AnimaRO website has been down for a couple days now, and no one is more upset at it than me. We've been corresponding with various parties to see what needs to be done to get the website up and operational, but at the moment the webserver is in the hands of the provider to get some things done so we can bring it back up. Unfortunately the people I need to talk to only work normal hours, so it's been somewhat frustrating thus far to be helpless. Hopefully I can start getting things under way on Monday.
Since we can't do most of our other duties, we're busying ourselves running events in the evenings. A lot of you guys have had a lot of fun. In fact, I'll be running an event with L as soon as I get finished with this post.
We're not going anywhere, everyone. Thanks for your continued support!

You guys might be getting in a flood of reports as soon as the site comes back up, though.
Seems that without being able to report, there is a bit of a rise in botting and also DBing in towns (and in a distasteful way).
Hopethe team's prepared when it does come back online.

Yea, so many bots... You might want to set up a temporary site for Bot reports, so that this won't get out of control.
Ah, you guys have it tough. I see the forum and site being down as the Internet God's gift to the GMs/assistants. No forum modding and support tickets/reports answering for a week. >:D (Good thing I'm not a GM. I would do a terrible job u__u.)
Provider problems always suck. You can't do anything about it, yet many expect you to be able to.
Well, good luck on that. I promise I won't flood the forum with too many reports the first day it gets back online. :D
Yups, also from me - I have a bunch of reports, mostly botters.
By the way, if you could answer me in the meantime (so I don't have to file a support ticket) - is it okay to look at Dyefire logs in order to get the character ID of a tele-bot? If logs are enabled, it logs something similar to this:
59284703;4501;dye;Packet: new character in range.;E2 D7 0C 00

whereas E2 D7 0C 00 could be computed into an character ID (seems to be little endian, so 14866188 - is that a female rogue? Maybe computed differently, I can look into that)
The flood of botting, its not funny. I tried to get Toad the other day, but he's swamped with bots.
However, this has also given rise to helpful players, those who are willing to talk to the players in the street and help them with info.
Its got its good sides too, I guess

Hr gave mi his acc id n pass which is oracleisback2 and qawsedrf.When he log off,i went in n search for my kaho.Appearantly,the kaho isn't in sight.He probably had transfered the kaho to another acc.GM,please track the kaho and banned all his acc.He scammed not onli my kaho, my guildiess too.But my guildiess didn't got ss of him.I can't play without kaho.I hope gm will return my kaho after looking at this.I might quit if the kaho isn't return.T_T

hola yo uso animaro y bueno averiguando un amigo me dijo que el dominio animaro.com vencio el 22 de septiembre y que no ha sido renovado expliquen eso si es cierto y que esta pasando en el server ya que es raro que el webserver este down tanto tiempo.
las personas piensan que el server va a cerrar digan si es asi y no tengan a las personas en duda si es asi diganlo
el dominio newanimaro.com esta pago hasta el 2009 porque no lo usan
Hi im a user of Animaro server researching i found out the domain animaro.com is expired the 22 of september why your not renew the hosting. and what happend if the server will be closed tell the people is not just i work in my chars and make donation

my recomendation is tell in the server what happend and if a problem of provider why the page is down yet

not only that but what if we need to reinstall the animaRO client in the event we need to troubleshoot. There's no known way to re-install the ARO patcher. =/

I've bought some cards on site for my chars...i was thinking buy kaho...now i think: what they do with the money of our stuff?
I'm afraid of tomorrow want play and see that we could have no server...
And u guys admins could tell or give more notices to players...cause this situation is horrible.

What really sucks so hard, is the server is actually down currently. I really love when it happens on my one day off.
Please do something about the bots - surely you can bot-test and stuff ingame? There are DOZENS of them all over the place and they're lagging the server like hell.
Looks like to me that the domain is overdue its paydate..I would be happy to renew it for you. Just as a donation to animaRO. Or I'm looking at the old domain xD animaro.com, which one is it?

there's a problem with login server too sometimes happen that u can't login and if u are inside the game can't teleport away. So Harken do ur best or i think that it'll be a big problem and i think u'll loose a lot of players
I realize that there are problems going on with the server and website. I realize your team is trying its best to solve these. I realize there are no forums to update the game community.
However this site is now the only means of communication we have. The game has been having log in issues every day for times up to but not limited to 1/2 hr or more intervals. We have not had an update on this blog in one week. Game updates are few and far between and often at hours where most of the "population" is not online to read them.
I can't speak for others but I can for myself - Please keep us more updated on the state of the server and the game. The lag from botters and the unruliness brought from the lack of persecution being capable alongside the constant server disconnects and log ins is making it hard for people to even play anymore.
It's still down ;_; Can you set up a temporary board at least, so we can at least report the most urent things? The botters run rampant, at the beginning there were two botters in Ant Hell F2 farming cards, now there are four - the botters know they're safe, and they're literally flooding your server now.
Oh well, no worries.
Although, now "animaro.com" won't work any longer, as it points out, the domain name expired 9/22/07. Im just lazy like that.
Anywho, I could care less really, but other might, like bensei here and others who hang out on the forums more than ingame.
But, oh well, I can wait. All I wanted to say has already been stated, I even suspect one of my IG friends has botting while the sight is down, which is bad.
Jerks are DBing in payon dungeon too, I was helping someone with my priest when I gt raped my a mob of skeletons complete with a succubas.
It keeps getting worse. I just hope that the website gets back on soon....

This server is far the best. I am thrilled to find out that the game is not going to shut down. Thank you. Good luck with all the requests when its up and running again. :)
I'm afraid I have to agree with what Tin said.
We all know it takes time and effort to fix an issue like this, but we are yet to hear any news to indicate that you have started solving the problem or when the website might even be up.
Keep this blog updated so that users can log on every day and find something new on here about the situation so that we can see that you are working on the situation. At the moment it seems to me and a lot of other people that you aren't doing anything to resolve this as we have heard no news.
Remember, the people who play aRO are the most valuable asset to the game, without them it doesn't work so keep us happy and updated.
Hope you get the website back up soon and I wish you luck in doing so.
My only worry is of those people, like myself, who have tickets which require item recovery. What happens when you can't find the item now? Since it was the fault of the website going down will it default to our favor?
I hope everything gets resolved soon.

It's still horribly bad character to go on a rulebreaking spree just because the reporting/ticketing system is down, though. Wonder how many people are showing their true colors now. +.+
I agree with these players, what they had said. Yes, GM are doing there best to fix things. Well at least updates this blog thing. If these problem keep crashing down, players will be sooner or later will be leaving ARO.

The longer the site is down, the more bold people are being in terms of scams, botting, and everything that you'd hate to see on a server. I've seen merchants with 50 Drops cards!
Since the site is down, we cannot even get new players!
Let's not forget the COMPLETE inability to create a support ticket. I have a friend who needs to report over 500 million of scammed items.... Yet she cannot do anything until the site is back up. She's currently thinking of changing servers.
Lately I have noticed many players breaking rules. They have no fear of report from the site being down.

Wah~ so much pessimism! Nothing is going to happen to your donations or ads. And the game server (specifically the character server) has only been -temporarily- borky from time to time in the past few weeks. Nothing to weep and gnash your teeth about. We've been through worse than this and the server didn't go *poof*.
My intuition is that the ISP problem is specific to the webservers and it will not effect the game servers in any way. Once the site/forums problem is resolved (which i'm sure it the priority) they'll probably try to repair whatever keeps making the character server crash. By the way, his is just a guess that seems logical to me, not meant to be a rumor, and i don't have inside sources!
And omg people, stop with the botting and the looting and the illegal dead-branching and the outright assholishness! D:
