Welcome!

Welcome to AnimaRO!

AnimaRO (or aRO as many people like to call it) is a low-rate Aegis server. Our general population size is fairly large - we average (at the time of this writing) about 1000-1700 connected players. We offer a very active, stable server community with a booming economy and a very high degree of participation in Guild Wars/War of Emperium.

ARO is a MvP card server, meaning that much of the gameplay design and balance is based around a system where players can readily purchase most any item via the donation system. Because the economy is so active, that also means most desired items can be purchased from street vendors for a reasonable zeny investment.

This blog is for the aRO GM team to convey our thoughts on many issues. This differs from the formal game announcements. In here we'll discuss what we think about some of the ongoing player issues, which might include things like guild drama, ingame politics, the economy, and so on. Everyone has an opinion on these things, even us, and sharing that with you helps you get to know us a little better.

We'll also probably talk at least a little bit about where we think aRO is headed in terms of the game itself. We all have slightly different views on how the game should be balanced, what items should drop and how frequently, and how to make the game more fun. Posting up that kind of info here lets you guys know what we're thinking, and allows you to comment on what you think might be the best direction for us to head in.

Another thing I will most likely post here is strategy guides. Without exception, the GM team are fairly well-traveled in the world of RO, and most of us have a few things we can impart that might be ignored by the conventional wisdom. If you've got an idea for a guide, feel free to comment on what class or ability you'd like to hear more about.

The last thing we're going to do here is use the blog as a link exchange. We've got a whole section devoted to links, and we're looking for good sites to exchange links with. If you've got an excellent, content-driven website, we'd love to trade with you. Guild websites, RO fansites, or general gaming sites are all great.

We're specifically looking for:
Websites related to RO or gaming in general.
Content - pictures, information, fanfics, or downloads.
No offensive material - your entire webpage must be work safe.
No links to bots or other third-party RO hacking programs.
No malicious software of any kind, including spyware, anywhere on your site.

Good luck everyone, and happy hunting!
